Resident payment screens overview
Last updated: November 3, 2026
The Payment System menu in the resident portal is where residents pay for permits, manage saved payment methods and autopay, and find receipts. Knowing these screens helps you answer payment questions quickly.
For the rest of the portal, see Resident portal overview.
How it works
Payment System has six pages. Most residents only use a few.
Make A Payment
Where residents pay for a permit, an add-on, or another charge.
Manage Payment Methods
Saved cards and bank (ACH) details. Residents can add or remove a method, or set a default.
Purchase Addons
Optional purchases beyond the base permit. Depending on your community's configuration, this can include extra vehicle slots, premium features, or paid guest passes.
Manage Addons
The add-ons a resident has now, with options to cancel or renew.
Manage Autopay
Turns automatic recurring payments on or off and sets which payment method to use.
Payment History
Every past transaction, with type, status (like Completed or Refunded), amount, date, and a Receipt link. Residents use it to confirm a payment went through or to get a receipt for reimbursement.
Who can use it
Residents use these screens. Property managers can view them from a resident's account.
Where to find it
Residents log in at app.parkingpass.com and open Payment System in the sidebar.
What you can do with it
Walk a resident through paying — see Paying for a parking permit.
Open a resident's portal to see what they see — see How to see the resident portal.
Common questions
Did my payment go through?
Check Payment History. The status column shows whether it completed.
Where's my receipt?
In Payment History, click Receipt on that payment's row.
How do I turn off autopay?
Go to Manage Autopay.
How do I change the card on file?
Go to Manage Payment Methods.
Important notes
Available add-ons and prices depend on your community's configuration.
Autopay helps prevent lapsed permits, which cause many "I paid but it expired" disputes.
