How guest registration works
Last updated: November 4, 2026
Guest registration lets residents authorize a visitor's vehicle in three ways, all from their own portal. Guests don't have ParkingPass accounts, so the host resident handles everything.
How it works
Guests don't log in, manage their own passes, or see any portal screens. Everything about a guest's parking belongs to the resident who hosts them. If a guest has a question, the host resident is the answer. This keeps a short visit quick, since visitors never have to create an account.
All three registration options are under Guest/Rental Vehicles in the resident's sidebar.
Register Guest/Rental
The resident enters the guest's vehicle details. Residents use it when:
The visitor is on-site or arriving soon, and the resident has the vehicle details.
The resident is registering their own rental or loaner. See Permit types explained: guest passes.
The visitor would rather the resident handle it.
Invite My Guest
The resident sends the guest a one-time registration link, and the guest enters their own vehicle details. Residents use it when they don't have the vehicle details yet, or the guest prefers to enter them. The link doesn't create a login.
My Friends & Family
The resident saves a frequent visitor once, then registers them in one click on future visits. Residents use it for regular visitors, like a parent who comes every week.
What each registration captures
Guest name, email, and phone, for the confirmation.
Vehicle details: license plate and state, year, make, model, and color.
Pass length, within your community's limits.
The host resident, attached automatically.
The pass is active as soon as the resident submits it, and the guest gets a confirmation.
Who can use it
Roles: residents register guests. Property managers can create passes from a resident's account.
Package: the Enterprise package. Guest registration isn't part of the Enforcement package.
Where to find it
Residents log in at app.parkingpass.com and go to Guest/Rental Vehicles.
What you can do with it
Register a guest step by step — see Registering a guest pass.
Manage passes after they're created — see Active guest passes overview.
Set your community's guest limits — see How guest parking settings work.
Important notes
Enter the plate's state correctly. A missing or wrong state can mark the vehicle as restricted. See How restricted guest vehicles work.
Repeat guests need a new pass for each visit unless they're saved to My Friends & Family.
Patrol checks guest passes the same way it checks resident permits, whether your community uses a patrol partner or self-patrol.
